Tiffany Studios adapted the Egyptian scarab beetle motif into many interesting objects such as ink wells, stamp boxes, wall sconces, jewelry and this striking Scarab Table Lamp. In ancient Egypt, the scarab symbolized rebirth, transformation, and resurrection which is why they are often depicted in many ways within tombs.
This petite accent lamp is only 9″ tall and 6″ wide, yet it commands your attention when you see it in person. The lamp consists of a one piece iridescent green glass shade in the shape of a scarab beetle that is supported by a pair of arms rising from a circular base. This example was commissioned by a local client.
